Recently Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration has put forward the 2011-2020 Outline which has been approved by the State Council.

The Outline requires by 2020, the innovation environment of the Demonstration should be more complete and the innovation efficiency and profit should be increased noticeably. The gross income will reach RMB10 trillion. In fields of software and IT service, bio-pharmaceutics and new energy industry, 2 to 3 industrial clusters which have great technological advantages should be formed gradually. More world famous brand business and transnational enterprises should be established. Several world-leading universities and research institutes should be founded, so more innovative talents, especially industrial talents are trained. The Zhangguancun Innovation Demonstration will become the most influential technology innovation center and high-tech industry base in the world.
