The State Council announced the first pilot program list of “Tripleplay Services”. Nanjing of Jiangsu Province is in the list. Nanjing Youshijie Information Technology Co., Ltd. and National Broadband Center has made a joint bid and gained qualified supplier status.

Nanjing Municipal Government plans to cooperate with Pretide and National Broadband Center to found a nationwide R&D center -- the State Institute of Tripleplay Services in Jiangsu Province. Mr. Ji Jianye, Mayor of Nanjing, is committed to acquire the national deployment fund for broadband service projects. The mission of the Institute is to study and establish Tripleplay’s standard, products and value-added services, to focus on the comprehensive coverage of Jiangsu cable TV market and then to promote their business across the nation.

Mr. Mao Xin, Company Chairman of Pretide, met the Mayor Mr. Ji, Mr. Luo the Deputy Mayor, and Mr. Yin the Director of Nanjing Economic & Information Technology Committee to discuss the cooperation plans.

At the same time, Pretide intends to work closely with IBM China, which will help apply IBM’s experience of providing telecom and operating solutions to the Institute services, and also make IBM’s extensive resources of telecom equipment suppliers and TV manufacturers the collaborative manufactures in Institute’s research and development.
