The 15th VAD E-commerce Trade Show in Lille in October

2011-6-21 13:46:06    Joycommunications.Biz

The 15th VAD e-commerce trade show will take place this year from 18 to 20 October in Lille (France). Since its creation, this event has offered a multichannel approach for traditional distance-selling companies, established players and, more recently, retailers in the e-commerce sector.

The e-commerce sector is currently growing with the emergence of m-commerce and social media, including online Facebook strategies, which aim to engage customers in new, interactive ways. In the context of this changing environment, this year’s show is more important than ever for businesses looking for solutions and strategies to optimise their development.

In France, in 2010, the Fédération du E-commerce et de la Vente à Distance, or FEVAD (the trade body representing companies specialising in e-commerce and distance selling), registered 82,000 active online retail sites. Every two hours, a new website is created in France. As a result, e-commerce merchants have varying levels of expertise and experience. In order to assist them in their development and marketing needs, the VAD e-commerce trade show has organised its programme of conferences (including workshops, conferences and master classes) so that it may provide tailor-made solutions for new, advanced or expert visitors and attendees.

French and international exhibitors will be spread across three exhibition zones across the three days of the trade fair. The Multichannel World, Digital World and Innovation World exhibition zones, which cover 15,000m2 of exhibition space, will provide 12,000 visitors with a 360° vision of current trends as well as techniques and innovations in the multichannel and digital market.

The VAD e-commerce show is well known for the quality of its content, and offers a programme of conferences based on practical solutions, case studies and feedback from professionals and experts in the field.

Several sessions have already been announced. These sessions will focus on B2B, e-retail, cross-channel commerce and digital commerce. Each session is built around themed conferences, plenaries as well as workshops, and will cover topics such as The place and role of print media in a multichannel strategy; Augmented reality, limitless creativity to boost sales; and Evaluating the performance of traffic in relation to customer capital.

The trade show will feature a number of highlights and innovative events such as the Web Analytics Rendez-vous, Digital Commerce Stars, the Northern Europe E-commerce Café, the New Shopping Experience 2.0, the Innovation Village and the Cross-border E-commerce Forum.

This year’s VAD e-commerce trade show is set to feature 300 exhibitors (13% of whom will be international) and is expected to welcome 12,000 visitors (11% of whom will be from countries outside France). Over 120 conferences and workshops for over 5,500 conference attendees have been planned for the three-day event.
