By 2015, Beijing will have a powerful new business complex dedicated to serving the needs of the international financial industry: the CBD International Financial Centre (CBDIFC) in the Beijing CBD (Central Business District) in Chaoyang District.

When completed the CBDIF will provide an ideal environment for an international financial city, including a top-quality infrastructure and other projects dedicated to finance, particularly a pilot area for renminbi settlements for cross-border business transactions and direct investment. The CBDIFC is expected to increase the added value of Chaoyang District’s financial industry by 40 billion yuan(US$6billion),while employing up to 50,000people.
