Background Information:
Tony Adams dived into winemaking at Port Stephens years ago with the same passion which always ruled his life.
……
In 1999, despite having absolutely no experience in growing grapes, but
armed with enthusiasm and drive, he jumped in determined to succeed.
The energetic Adams bought the bushland, called it Hellenvale, then
enrolled in a TAFE course in viticulture/winemaking with son Damien and started Planting vines.
After a lot sweat, time and effort, the family-owned boutique winery
finally opened in December 2002.
Tony Adams, sadly, didn't have long to savour the fruits of his labour. He died unexpectedly of cancer at age 59. just 2 years after his winery opened.Today, his rustic vinyard continues and thrives under the control of his widow, Hellen.
……
“It's all up for sale now,” the widow said. “It's been a grate lifestyle here, but now without Tony, it's time for me to retire.”
